Studio U was home to two other makers, who not only shared the space, but many laughs, skills and knowledge.
It was important for Sae-Won to create a space that could also be used by other makers, particularly at a time when studio space is getting more-and-more scarce even in a creative hub such as Hackney Wick. Studio U mates included Yasuko Arakawa and Valeria Nicolucci, who created a great variety of work, from tableware to one-off sculptural pieces.

In 2025, Sae-Won relocated to her new studio at Second Floor Studios in New Cross and she is very happy that the Hackney Wick space continues as a ceramic studio under Valeria Nicolucci.
